Third Game - Dark Sanctuary
Nov. 17th, 2011 08:57 pm[A - ACTION - Goldberg Street
Say, Mayfield. You remember Ryo Bakura, right? Kinda awkward British kid, blabbers on and on and on about some children's card game you've probably never heard of? A little bit meek and kinda skittish? Well, no longer. See, he recently received a powerful item known as the Millennium Ring. It's an ancient Egyptian artifact of unspeakable power---though a lot of that power seems to have been drained by Mayfield itself. Still, the one thing the Ring does still allow?
Is for the five thousand-year-old Egyptian tombrobber, Yami Bakura, to maintain near-complete control of his poor, pathetic host. And after hearing about what chaos has been brewing in Mayfield from his dear wife, Téa, Yami Bakura's managed to neutralize her before deciding to head into town to get a good look at all this madness for himself.
It hardly disappoints. Yet there's something he feels he can add to this game to make it a little bit more fun...
B - ACTION - Outside the Post Office
The dark spirit lurches down the sidewalk, his hand curled over a bloody hole in his face where his left eye used to be. What sort of an idiotic trade was that? He snarls in rage. Losing an eye for his deck, of all things? All the same... it was his host's eye that was lost. Not his, though it might as well have been.
His free hand clenches his deck in fury... and something delightfully unexpected happens. At the very top of Yami Bakura's deck is a powerful monster (and a particular favorite of his, at that). The Millennium Ring glows with bright energy, and when next Bakura looks up, he can see that his monster now stands before him in physical form. Ready and willing to serve.
C - ACTION - Around Town
So here's another question for you, Mayfield. Are you hallucinating the various monsters you see before you in addition to your greatest fears? Or is there a chance that your worst nightmares may have come to life?
Whatever the answer, it doesn't change the fact that Dark Necrofear is slicing through drones left and right with her obsidian blade. And accompanying it? The sound of horrible, blood-curdling laughter.
Welcome to Mayfield, indeed.]
